According the official 9/11 report, passengers revolted after Flight 93 was hijacked, and they knew their possible fate from cell phone reports of the attacks on the Twin Towers ("Let's roll!"). Either the hijackers kamikaze-dived the plane into the ground, or it crashed in the ensuing struggle. The lack of recognizable aircraft parts around the impact crater is attributable to the peculiarly soft soil from an abandoned strip mine, which swallowed the Boeing 757 whole.
Size of Boeing 757: 155 ft. long, 125 ft. wide, 45 ft. tall.
Size of impact crater: 3040 ft. long, 1520 ft. wide, 18 ft. deep.
The mysteriously powerful "gopher hole" then suffered a case of indigestion, regurgitating up aircraft parts that eventually settled up to 8 miles away, across a mountain ridge, over a debris field of some 15 square miles (see graphic at right).
"Conspiracy Theorist's" Alternative Explanation: Flight 93 exploded in the air, shot down by a missile from the white, unmarked military-style jet observed by a half-dozen witnesses. A sizeable chunk of the disintegrated plane caused the impact crater. The rest was scattered over the 15 sq. mile debris field. Another theory posits that a bomb onboard was detonated by the hijackers. But how could it have been smuggled through airport security, and why then the official narrative, so at odds with the physical evidence?
Why would it have been shot down?
Theory 1: Our tardy air defenses finally knocked it down, to prevent the hijackers from completing their presumed missionstriking the White Houseand the official myth was a more palatable story for the public. Unfortunately for this theory, our air defenses didn't also take down Flight 77, which had been tracked for almost an hour before it allegedly rammed the Pentagon, penetrating the most securely guarded air space on Earth. Flight 93 was much further away from Washington, and not yet an imminent threat.
Theory 2: The revolting passengers succeeded in regaining control of the plane, and an intact aircraft landing safely would have borne too much incriminating evidence of inside plotters.
