Typical bullet deformation

According the Warren Commission, this 6.5 mm bullet, supposedly fired from Lee Harvey Oswald's Mannlicher-Carcano rifle, passed through JFK's neck and traversed 15 layers of clothing, 7 layers of skin, approximately 15 inches of tissue, struck a tie knot, removed 4 inches of rib and shattered a dense radius bone in John Connally's wrist, before embedding itself it his thigh. It was found on an abandoned stretcher in Parkland Hospital that Connally had been transported on.*

No other bullet in the history of arms, before or since, has equalled this miraculous performance. It has been suggested that if our military were to adopt this powerful bullet as a standard battle round, we could reduce the defense budget in half, dispensing with tanks and other weapon systems suffering from relatively inferior kill/price ratios.

The ludicrous theory, authored by Arlen Specter (then a young attorney on the Warren Commission's staff), was necessitated to keep the numerous wounds in the shooting within the Lone Nut scenario, and out of the "conspiracy" field, because, as we all know, conspiracies are alien to America, except in the fevered minds of paranoid political theorists.

* It has been suggested that Jack Ruby may have planted the bullet to incriminate Oswald. Ruby paid a visit to Parkland Hospital on Nov. 22, shortly after the assassination.

NEW EVIDENCE:
Mac Wallace,
LBJ's Hit Man

In 1998, certified fingerprint expert Nathan Darby identified a match between a previously unidentified fingerprint found on one of the "sniper's nest" boxes on the 6th Floor of the TSBD, and that of Mac Wallace, a convicted murderer who performed other "wet" services for LBJ.

The FBI (which has lost or manipulated evidence in this case since day one), refused to confirm the match, and other fingerprint experts criticized it–yet they also refused to officially stand by their findings, which might have resulted in losing thier certification.

Some
films of the assassination also show two figures in adjacent windows on the 6th Floor immediately before the shooting.l

In 2003, Texas attorney Barr McClellan (father of former Bush spokesman, Scott McClellan) published a book, Blood, Money & Power: How LBJ Killed JFK, alleging that he discovered evidence while working in his former law firm run by Edward Clark, that LBJ and Texas oil men orchestrated the assassination. The law firm was closely associated with LBJ.

Howard Hunt's confession

In the Spring of 2007, Rolling Stone magazine published E. Howard Hunt's posthumous confession to son, alleging that LBJ and others, including Hoover and some CIA agents, were behind the hit.
